Description

Emotional Resilience refers to a person’s capacity for meeting difficult emotional situations with greater equanimity and a person’s capacity for returning to a state of emotional balance more quickly. The key to both is combining mindfulness and compassion.

This workshop introduces techniques specifically designed to enhance participants’ ability to respond to difficult emotional situations with both mindfulness and compassion, a combination cultivates emotional resilience. Mindfulness allows a person to face difficult situations squarely and clearly, and compassion allows us to respond with kindness and understanding, reducing the felt sense of pain and the internal story-telling that creates suffering.
